Mother's Day is a very special holiday at Loeffler Randall. At last count, the LR kids definitely outnumbered LR staffers. We wanted to share our very favorite Mother's Day submission from our HR Director, Kristy Hurt. Kristy fills us in on her Mother's Day plans and why this year is extra special for her family.

Mother's Day is really special in our family because we are a two mom family. It's kind of like Christmas and Hanukkah (we celebrate both) - another fun opportunity to give and receive. We usually make gifts and cards with the kids to give to one another for Mother's Day. We have 4 year old twins and a 1 year old so they still need a bit of help! But this year I found a really cute heart necklace with the word "mama" stamped on it. It's perfect for my partner Natalie because she is "mama" to the kids and I am "mommy." We are finally getting married this summer!
We live in Brooklyn and we'll be keeping our Mother's Day celebration local this year. The new JJ Byrne park just opened up so we'll probably spend the day checking out the new playground, eating lunch at the Mile End Delicatessen, one of our favorite lunch spots, and having some frozen yogurt at Culture - a highlight for all of us.
We're expecting a gorgeous weekend. I will definitely be wearing my black Lotte clogs because they go with everything and they are super comfortable!
